Performance Characteristics of Embedded Parts
Embedded parts are common fasteners, characterized by flexible adjustment, simple installation, and high construction efficiency. They have a wide range of applications, including pre-installation for fixing formwork.
Types and Structures of Embedded Parts
Embedded parts come in many types, divided into channel-type embedded parts and post-installed embedded parts.
Channel-type Embedded Parts
Channel-type embedded parts are often installed in urban integrated utility tunnels, located in cold underground environments. Therefore, their structure is prone to rust, leading to a significant workload and increased maintenance costs later on. However, the installation method for channel-type embedded parts is reliable, without damaging the concrete or reinforcing steel, making them particularly suitable for components with high crack resistance requirements. The installation process of channel-type embedded parts does not involve welding technology or drilling into the concrete, truly achieving safe and noiseless installation requirements.
Channel-type Embedded Parts: The groove of the embedded part is 5 cm away from the edge of the concrete structure, allowing for easy adjustment of the installation position. This effectively solves the stress point problem of the suspension system and is becoming increasingly popular in curtain wall construction.
Post-installed Embedded Parts: Post-installed embedded parts use chemical anchors for fixation. However, drilling with chemical anchors damages the concrete, causing cracks and affecting its waterproofing performance. Therefore, the application of post-installed embedded parts is limited. Furthermore, drilling with chemical anchors makes it impossible to determine the location of the reinforcing steel in the concrete, potentially damaging the main reinforcing steel of the pipe rack and affecting structural safety. It is important to note that damage to the reinforcing steel in the concrete can result in unfinished holes or cracks, requiring difficult repair.
